Broke two Rose Bowl records, 1959 – longest touchdown run from scrimmage (81 yards) and yards per carry average (21.6 yards – 194 yards on 9 carries); named Rose Bowl Most Valuable Player, 1959; 7.2 yards per carry season average (469 yards on 65 carries), 1958; 17th pick in 1960 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers; member of Super Bowl I and II Championship teams; Two-time NFL Pro-Bowl Selection, 1967, 1969; and inducted into Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, 1985.
