Coached six all-Americans, six first team all-Big Ten Conference players, and Iowa’s first outright Big Ten Conference championship team in 1945 (17-1 overall record, 11-1 conference record, led league in defense, and broke eight Iowa records); Iowa career record 98-42 (.700); Iowa basketball letterwinner in 1926, 28; and member of Iowa’s co-Big Ten Conference championship team in 1926.
