Two-time NCAA and big ten conference champion in pommel horse, 1967, 1969; two-time First Team All-American and All-Big Ten conference selection in 1967, 1969; Member of 1969 NCAA and 1967 and 1968 Big Ten Championship Teams; Recorded highest individual score at NCAA championships for three consecutive years, 1967, 1968, 1969; and became first Hawkeye in any sport to win an individual and team NCAA Championship in 1969.
