Two time All-American in 1964, 65; First Team All-American in 1965; Second Team All-American in 1964; First Team All-Big Ten Conference in 1965; Selected for East-West Shrine Bowl, Hula Bowl, and College All-Star Game in 1965; First Round draft choice (fifth overall) of National Football League draft by Dallas Cowboys in (1966-74), Philadelphia (1975), four National Football League Championships, two Super Bowls V and VI (Champions in Super Bowl VI), and seven consecutive Pro Bowls (1968-74); Member of Dallas Cowboys All-Time team; and named First Team on All-Century Iowa Football team as Offensive Guard in 1989.
