NCAA Champion at 190 pounds, 1986; Four time NCAA Finalist, NCAA All-American, and Big Ten Conference Champion, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986; eighth wrestler in Big Ten Conference history to win four conference titles; member of four NCAA and Big Ten Conference team championships; Gold medalist at Pan-American games, 1987; USA National Team member, 1986-88; Two time Canadian Open Freestyle Champion; and set school record for best winning percentage (1.00) at 36-0 and won Iowa’s Outstanding Wrestler Award in 1986.
