Member of All-American 440 yd freestyle team 1933, member of All-American 300 yd medley relay team 1935 that set an American record, member of NCAA champion 400 yd freestyle team that set a national record 1936, 5 time individual All-American in 220 free, 440 free and 400 free; Midwest AAU meet 1935 1ST Place in 500 yd crawl, setting a new record 22.5 seconds faster than the previous record, 1st in 100 and 220 yd, captain of freshman team.
