NCAA National Epee Champion, Big Ten Conference Epee Champion, and First Team All-American in 1966; sixth Big Ten conference fencer in history to win National Collegiate Championship (United States title); United States Olympic Fencing National semi-finalist, 1968; Three-time Varsity Letterwinner; Iowa Head Fencing Coach (1967-1968) and Assistant Fencing Coach (1966-1967); and won various State of Iowa amateur fencing championships from 1967-1975.
