Administered one of the most successful eras in Iowa’s athletic history; during his tenure, teams placed among NCAA’s top four in six sports, won six Big Ten championships in four sports and two Rose Bowl games; directed construction of athletic office building, 18-hole golf course and clubhouse, track, football stadium press box with expansion of 9,000 seats; and member of National Association of Collegiate Athletic Directors Hall of Fame.
